Wrongs & RIGHTS

SEP 28—DEC 17, 2022

VISUAL ART

Choice is autonomy
Autonomy is freedom
Freedom is foundation
Foundation is broken

“Privacy is the fountainhead of all other rights.”
—Edward Snowden, 2016

Wrongs & RIGHTS brings together five decades of work supporting the intergenerational battle for reproductive rights, while speaking in a wider sense to the erosion of rights in America after the recent overturn of Roe v. Wade. Presenting over 20 pieces in various media, the exhibition is a mere sample of countless works and rich perspectives—created by artists across all genders, backgrounds, and generations—on the fight for bodily autonomy and freedom.

Artists: Lisa Anne Auerbach, Lynda Benglis, Andrea Bowers, Judy Chicago, Patricia Cronin, Vaginal Davis, Bev Grant, Guerrilla Girls, Samuel Levi Jones, Rachel Lachowicz, Patrick Martinez, Yassi Mazandi, Maynard Monrow, Frank Selby, Jo Shane, Mickalene Thomas, Hannah Wilke, and Dawn Williams Boyd

Wrongs & RIGHTS was curated by Laura Dvorkin and Maynard Monrow, co-curators of the Beth Rudin DeWoody Collection.
