Galerie Lelong & Co., New York is pleased to announce a new solo exhibition by Alfredo Jaar, The Dark Side of the Moon, on view at Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, Santiago, Chile from September 14, 2023 to February 25, 2024.
The Dark Side of the Moon, an exhibition by renowned artist Alfredo Jaar, presents a series of previously unpublished works as part of the museum’s commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the coup d'état of September 11, 1973. Curated by Pablo Chiuminatto, the exhibition focuses on the impact that the tragic events had on the country and explores themes like exile and US interventions in Latin America. Additionally, the exhibition presents explorations by the artist into historical events that affected and continue to affect Chilean society post-dictatorship.
